For
those interested in joining “Seeking Truth”, but are unable to
attend in person, we offer a “Distance Learner” program. Each week,
the lecture is posted on the “Weekly Lecture” page so that you can
follow along with the rest of the class. Currently, 11 states are
represented by “Seeking Truth” distance learners.Class meets on Thursday and typically the lecture is available for viewing the following weekend. Sharon Doran, the teaching director, uses beautiful artwork and other visuals to enhance her presentation. The “Seeking Truth” pedagogy is unique, each lecture a multi-media presentation, combining audio, video and more than 150 still images of sacred art, maps and inspirational photos. While sacred scripture is the focus of the lecture, Sharon also brings in the Catechism of the Catholic Church, papal documents, the writings of the Church Fathers and lives of the Saints. The lectures will be available for viewing for the duration of the academic year. In addition, a MP3 audio file of the lecture will be available for download and transfer to CD or MP3 player.
After you fill out the registration form below, you will receive an email with instructions on how to order the class curriculum. You will also receive instructions on how to contribute $20 to “Seeking Truth” to cover the costs of the “Distance Learner” program. In addition, the email will give you the passwords needed to access the lectures on the Seeking Truth “Weekly Lecture” page.
